Hale Barns Carnival Returns with Exciting Changes for 2025
The popular Hale Barns Carnival is making a big return this summer, bringing even more excitement to the community. This year’s event, set for Saturday, July 19th and Sunday, July 20th, will be held at a new location—The Bulls Head on Wicker Lane—creating a fresh, exciting atmosphere for both new and returning visitors.
What’s New at the Hale Barns Carnival?
In 2025, the carnival will take place in the grounds of The Bulls Head, moving away from its traditional location at the playing fields. Despite this change, the event promises the same level of fun, music, and entertainment that attendees have come to love.
Free Daytime Activities for All Ages
The daytime carnival, running from 12pm to 4pm both days, will remain free to attend. There’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy:
- A traditional funfair with rides and games
- Rob’s Car Fest, showcasing iconic movie and TV vehicles
- Craft and gift markets for unique finds
- Local food stalls offering a variety of tasty treats
- An inflatable world for children to jump and play
- Live music featuring the best local talent
Evening Concerts with Tribute Acts
In the evenings, ticketed concerts will light up the carnival. On Saturday night, you can enjoy full band tributes to classic artists such as Roxy Music, Tina Turner, and Chic featuring Nile Rodgers. These performances will feature well-known hits like “Le Freak” and “Good Times.”
Sunday’s line-up will close out the carnival with tributes to British legends Madness, The Bee Gees, and an award-winning Dolly Parton tribute act, ensuring there’s something for all music lovers.
A Community-Focused Event
Max Eden, the founder and organizer of the Hale Barns Carnival, expressed his excitement for the event’s new location. He said: “After facing issues with staging the event on the playing fields last year, I am delighted that we have been able to find a way to continue to deliver the carnival for the community to enjoy, and can’t wait for everyone to see what we have in store this July.”
The carnival’s new location at The Bulls Head also allows for a more comfortable and accessible experience for everyone, ensuring it remains a must-attend event in Hale Barns.
A Tradition of Giving Back
The Hale Barns Carnival was founded in 2016 with the goal of providing a large-scale local event for all ages. Over the years, it has raised funds for important community causes, including contributing to the development of the community hall, which was completed in 2023.
Past Performances and This Year’s Supporters
Past Hale Barns Carnival performances have included well-known acts such as Graham Gouldman of 10cc, Rose Royce, Russell Watson, and more. This year’s event is supported by local businesses like Benchmark Security, Howden Insurance, BeFibre, Manchester Airport, and Full Circle Funeral Partners, ensuring a high-quality event for the whole community.
