Firefighters worked overnight in the Lodgepole community located southwest of Drayton Valley to try and contain a wildfire that prompted evacuation warnings by RCMP Saturday night.

Firefighters are still trying to bring a 340 hectare wildfire burning near the town of Lodgepole, 30 kilometres outside of Drayton Valley, under control.
